The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra announces the 2017-2018 season programming for its BNY Mellon Grand Classics and PNC Pops series. The upcoming season of the BNY Mellon Grand Classics marks its 10th season under the musical leadership of Music Director Manfred Honeck and the orchestra's 122nd year since its founding.

A founding resident company of The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) announces its 2017-2018 Season. From September 2017 through May 2018, the Chamber Orchestra will perform six programs as part of its subscription series. All six concert pairs will be performed in the Kimmel Center's intimate Perelman Theater. As reported back in 2012, the 1982 comedy film TOOTSIE, which starred Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman, is being adapted for Broadway by Scott Sanders, producer behind THE COLOR PURPLE and more. Now, according to an interview with the Australian, TOOTSIE 'is about a year away.'
