The newly announced The River Is Rising-Rest of the World Tour '24 will kick off with the band's return to Mexico City's Pepsi Centre WTC, and will see SMKC hit 21 countries, and 32 cities across the globe.

In Minnesota, the Hennepin Theatre Trust recently reported a more than $115 million impact to the local economy, directly tied to their Broadway touring season. We’ve also got a story about the way in which some regional theatres have been able to rebound this past season, and are looking to capitalize on that momentum.

Grumbling in the industry was this season would have fewer musicals. Shows were taking longer to receive their full capitalization. Many musicals were losing hundreds of thousands of dollars per week. Attendance was down. Buying habits had changed. In other words, it didn’t feel like a particularly hospitable time to launch a Broadway show.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Heart of Rock and Roll will open on Broadway this season, per a casting notice. The production is expected to start rehearsals in mid-February with opening planned for April.

Sadler’s Wells' production of Message In A Bottle, the acclaimed dance theatre show by Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Kate Prince, set to the music of 17-time Grammy Award-winning icon Sting, will embark on a major 10-stop North American tour in 2024.

Riley Green has announced his 2024 Ain’t My Last Rodeo Tour. Supporting him on arena and amphitheater stages across the country will be Tracy Lawrence across select dates and Ella Langley across all dates. Bringing his forthcoming (October 13) album, Ain’t My Last Rodeo to life, the 33-city tour will run from February 22nd through June 1st.
