No one is more delightfully shocked by her record-breaking Tony Awards track record than Kara Young. The Purpose star has been nominated for the last four Tony Awards and is now tied with Laurie Metcalf for the most consecutive Tony nominations.

"I don't even know how to feel! I'm super honored. I'm so grateful. We're still doing eight shows a week and I know we'll have a moment to celebrate post all of this, but we're still doing the work," she told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. "I'm so grateful for the company of people I get to be with six days a week."

Watch as Kara chats more about collaborating with her Purpose company, why this play has been such a passion project, and so much more. Plus, check out who she is up against and catch up on all the latest Tony Awards coverage!

The 78th Annual Tony Awards will air on Sunday, June 8, 2025.
