ComedySportz, Philadelphia's longest-running comedy show, turns 25 this year and to celebrate the quadricentennial, the company is mounting two super-sized matches at the Mandell Theater at Drexel University, 3201 Chestnut Street Philadelphia, PA 19104. The matches will take place Saturday, July 22 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets to each show cost $25 for adults and $22 for students, seniors, and military with a valid ID. Arden Theatre Company announces final additions to the 2017/18 30th Anniversary Season. Just announced today, the season will close with the Tony-Award winning musical, FUN HOME. An additional production, the international, off-Broadway hit EVERY BRILLIANT THING, will run as the inaugural production in the Selma M. and Robert J. Horan Studio Theatre in the Hamilton Family Arts Center.

Walnut Street Theatre continues its landmark 208th season with Neil Simon's classic comedy, LAUGHTER ON THE 23RD FLOOR.

Walnut Street Theatre's 2016-2017 Independence Studio on 3 season continues with The Irish Repertory Theatre of New York's adaptation Dylan Thomas' iconic, A CHILD'S CHRISTMAS IN WALES. Directed by Aaron Cromie, the production began with previews on November 15th, opens tonight, November 17th, and continues through December 23rd.

Philadelphia Theatre Company announces a one-week-only extension of Rizzo by Bruce Graham through Sunday, October 23.  Currently running at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets) and directed by Joe Canuso in a re-mounting of Theatre Exile's sold-out production last fall, the ensemble cast features Scott Greer as Frank Rizzo with Damon Bonetti, Paul L. Nolan, Robert DaPonte, William Rahill, Amanda Schoonover, and Steven Wright.  The extra week includes performances on Tuesday at 6:30 PM,Wednesday at 7:00 PM, Thursday through Today at 8:00 PM and matinees today at 2:00 PM and Sunday at 3:00 PM. 

Philadelphia Theatre Company will host several special post-play discussions in connection with its staging of the Theatre Exile production of Rizzo by Bruce Graham, currently running through October 23 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (Broad and Lombard Streets) - an American Playwrights in Context (APIC) discussion on September 30; a panel of political experts on October 4, a pro-football night on October 6 and a panel on Frank Rizzo's legacy on October 14.
