The 65th Annual Drama Desk Awards has partnered with 'Stars in the House' to live stream this year's Nominations. Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley, the hosts of the virtual daily series benefiting the Actors Fund, will announce the nominees.

On Wednesday, March 25 at 8pm (EST) in celebration of Women's History Month, Angela Sclafani's song cycle, PASSION PROJECT, will stream in its entirety from its world premiere concert of Volume 1 at The Green Room 42, filmed in September 2019.

Five decades ago, National Lampoon's Lemmings satirized the Woodstock Festival with a?oeWoodshuck: Three Days of Peace, Love and Death.a?? The live production, which was turned into a record album, starred a group of emerging comedians including John Belushi, Christopher Guest and Chevy Chase. Today, the iconic brand reveals the diverse ensemble of notable rising stars who will take center-stage in Lemmings: 21st Century, the reinvention of the iconic off-Broadway hit from composer Henry Koperski, writer Andrew Farmer and Director Annie Tippe, for an exclusive two-show engagement at New York City's Joe's Pub on March 14 and March 15.

Signature Theatre (Paige Evans, Artistic Director; Harold Wolpert, Executive Director) will celebrate the release of the Original Cast Recording of Octet, the critically acclaimed world premiere musical by Residency 5 playwright Dave Malloy, with a special celebration on Monday, January 27th at 6:00pm in The Pershing Square Signature Center Lobby. The event will include a special performance and CD signing by the Octet cast and creatives. The event is free and open to the public. The much-anticipated MOBY DICK (A Musical Reckoning), from the team that brought you NATASHA, PIERRE & THE GREAT COMET OF 1812 in 2015, has finally surfaced at the Loeb Drama Center of the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge. Based on the iconic American novel by Herman Melville, the three-and-a-half-hour-long musical endeavors to theatricalize about 40 of the book's 135 chapters, taking a much larger bite from the source material than the mere 70- page section of Leo Tolstoy's WAR AND PEACE adapted for THE GREAT COMET. Oh, would that Dave Malloy (music, book, lyrics, and orchestrations) and Rachel Chavkin (director, co-developer) had approached this project with such surgical skill, rather than casting the broadest of nets upon the waters.

Moby-Dick began previews on Tuesday, December 3 and opened on December 12 at the Loeb Drama Center, 64 Brattle Street, Cambridge, MA. It plays through Sunday, January 12. 

Dave Malloy's musical adaptation of Moby-Dick is officially setting sail tonight with the show's opening night, and A.R.T. is giving us a peek into the theatre's transformation to bring the whale of a tale to life on stage. Check it out with this video!

Comedy Central and Refinery29 today announced a digital-content partnership for two series from Comedy Central Productions produced in partnership with Refinery29 that will identify and showcase an all-female lineup of fast-rising comedians with distinct voices. Slated to premiere next spring, the series will be co-branded and distributed on Comedy Central and Refinery29 digital platforms.

The Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDCF), the not-for-profit foundation affiliated with Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, presented the third annual SDCF Awards including the Gordon Davidson Award, Zelda Fichandler Award, Joe A. Callaway Awards, and Breakout Award. The event took place on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre.

Tony Award-winning actress LAURA BENANTI (My Fair Lady) has been announced to host and perform at the 17th annual BROADWAY STANDS UP FOR FREEDOM concert on Monday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. at The Town Hall in New York City (123 W. 43 St.) Also joining the previously announced line-up of stars will be performers ALYSHA UMPHRESS (On The Town), KIM BLANCK (Octet) and MILI DIAZ (Wicked).
